CSM (Ret) Johnny C. Baggett, age 75, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024.

Graveside Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Full Military Honors will be rendered.

Johnny entered this life on October 6, 1949 in Bessemer, AL to the late Archie and Virginia Whitfield Baggett. He was a graduate of Jones Valley High School and went on to serve in the United States Army. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam, one of those being a door gunner on a helicopter. He went on to be a Drill Instructor at Ft. Leonard Wood, where he suffered a major elbow injury that restricted movement for the remainder of his life. He retired after 23 years of committed and honorable service to his country. Johnny achieved the rank of Command Sergeant Major. Aside from his Military career, Johnny enjoyed NASCAR, doing yard work, and being with his family. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother in laws, Hugh Howton and Dennis Herring.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sandra Burcham Baggett; son, Steven (Angela) Baggett; daughters, Haley (Ed) Baggett, and Hannah Baggett; daughters by marriage, Jamie Brannon, Amy Slayton, and Amanda Smith; grandchildren, Tyler Brannon, Lauren (Chris) Stafford, Austin Slayton, Lane Smiley, and Junior Smiley; great-grandchildren, Chloe Stafford, Myla Brannon, and Mailee Brannon.
