Col. Pat Hamilton, U.S. Army (Ret)

Col. Edward Patrick (Pat) Hamilton, U.S. Army (Ret), 78, Clarksville, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Alive Hospice, Nashville.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12 noon Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Handley officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday.
Pat was born August 20, 1933 in Montgomery County, TN, son of James and Margaret Moore Hamilton. He was a retired U.S. Army Colonel and had served two tours in Vietnam. Following his military service, Pat worked for and retired from Byers & Harvey Real Estate and from Briggs Clothiers. Pat was a graduate of both Clarksville High School and Austin Peay State University. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was an avid gardener and numismatist.
Survivors include his sons, John (Jack) Hamilton of Nashville, Pat Hamilton of Clarksville, and Neil Hamilton of Nashville, mother of his sons, Sarah Hamilton, and brother in law, Tracy Jackson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Hamilton Jackson.
