Clayton Paul Moore, 72, Clarksville, died Thursday, August 27, 2009, at Spring Meadows Health Care Center. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Dr. Roger Freeman and Dr. John David Laida officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, with full military honors. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday and from 3 p.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home. He was born October 24, 1936 in Vance, MS and was preceded in death by his parents, William Bryan and Mildred Madge Youngblood Moore and his son, Dennis Clay Moore. Mr. Moore was a retired MSG with the U.S. Army. He served in Viet Nam and was a Purple Heart Recipient. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Clarksville Civitan Club, DAV Hardy Shelby Chapter, Military Order of the Purple Heart and the VFW. He is survived by his wife, Angel Neal Moore, Clarksville; daughter, Kathy (David) Bearden, Clarksville; granddaughters, Brooke Bearden and Taylor Burich; brothers, Roy Newton Moore, Oxford, MS, Alton Earl Moore, Spring, TX; sister, Janie Sue Moore, Oxford, MS.
