Clayton “Biggon” Black, age 95 of Cunningham, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Grace Health Care.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Monday with Masonic Service at 7 p.m. and from 12 noon until the hour of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Clayton was born on September 9, 1919 in Montgomery County, the son of the late Dan Black and Martha Black. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Erlene Black; 7 brothers and 2 sisters.
He is a member of the McAllister Masonic Lodge No. 402. He was a retired farmer, school bus driver with CMCSS; he severed as a constable, and a Deputy Sheriff with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.
Clayton is survived by his daughter, Vickie (Ralph) Baggett; grandchildren, Vanessa (Dennis) VanWormer and Clayton (Lisa) Baggett; great-grandchildren, Clinton and Isac VanWormer and Kaelee and Benjamin Baggett.
Pallbearers will be Clayton Baggett, Dennis VanWormer, Clinton VanWormer, Darnell Black, Jr., Dan Black, and James Black.
