Claytie Dority

Claytie Davidson Dority, 99, Clarksville, died Thursday, September 18, 2008, at Spring Meadows Health Care Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. David Fambrough officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born July 16, 1909 in Montgomery County and was preceded in death by her parents, William Robert and Addie Lane Davidson; husband, W.R. "Bill" Dority; and a son, Larry Dority. Mrs. Dority was a homemaker and a member of Dotsonville Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Eugene (Annette)Dority, Clarksville, Donald (Joyce) Dority, Clarksville, Charles (Bonnie) Dority, Tampa, FL; daughter, Mildred Batey, Clarksville. Ten Grandchildren, Twenty-two Great-grandchildren, and Four Great-Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Dority, Billy Batey, Tommy Batey, Kenneth Batey, D. Howard Dority Jr., Mike Dority, Bobby Sheppard, Michael Foster and Steve Stanfill.
