Clay Mathis

Allen Clay Mathis, age 64 of Cumberland City, TN, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at his residence.
A celebration of his life will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2016 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro Jonathan Gann officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill cemetery.
The Mathis family will receive friends on Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Friday afternoon.
Clay entered this life on May 24, 1952 son to the late Allen D. and Pauline Odom Mathis. Clay was a member of Elk Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Mary Seay Mathis; daughter, Lisa McGrath (Daryl); son, Brian Mathis (Kayce); brother, Douglas “Mack” Gann; sister, Barbara Schmidt; and two grandchildren, Lynden and Braxton Mathis.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Gann, Trent Gann, Randy Gann, Kerry Gann, David Anderson, Joey Brake, Jeff Mathis, and Chris Mathis.
