Claudette Marie Pulley, 80 of Erin, Tennessee passed away on January 25, 2016 at Gateway Medical Center. She was born on July 5, 1935 along with her twin brother near the Grand Coulee Dam in Washington State and was the daughter of Melvin and Nola Jane Day Sylvester. Claudette and her twin brother were the first twins born in the local hospital. Claudette spent a great portion of her childhood growing up in the Okanagan Valley in Washington State. Claudette met her husband of 56 years Charles Pulley in Washington State and they were stationed throughout the world before settling in Tennessee. Claudette worked for the Houston County school system as a janitor and was also a homemaker. She is survived by her younger brother William Burns of Idaho, three sons, Gregory Pulley of Vanleer, Gary Pulley of Cumberland City, Travis Pulley of Charlotte, daughter Favin Swaim of Manchester and many grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Pulley, their two sons Danny and Sydney Pulley, her sister Mary Lou Zimmerman and her twin brother Clyde Sylvester. A celebration of her life will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 with visitation from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Burial will be at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. located on McCrory Lane.
