Clarence Jackson Latham, Jr. age 91 of Clarksville passed away Monday, November 1, 2021 at his home while surrounded by his loved ones.
Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Freddy T. Wyatt officiating. Interment will be held at Cumberland City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Jay entered this life on July 1, 1930, in Bremen, KY, to the late Clarence Jackson Latham, Sr. and Hallie Overby Latham. He worked for GM at the Flint Buick Division for over thirty years. After retirement, he resided on Kentucky Lake, where he designed and built a lovely log home. He was a member of UAW local 593. Jay was recognized by the Governor of Kentucky, receiving the Kentucky Colonel Honor. He was known to many loved ones and friends as Dad, C.J., Uncle JR, Jay, Grandpa, and Papa Jay.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Bettye Sue Latham, and siblings, Jim Latham, Cork Latham, Della Holleman, Dorothy Scott, and son-in-law, Gary Thompson.
Survivors include his children, Terry (Karen) Latham, Kelley (Barbara) Latham, Bradley (Cynthia) Latham, Sherry (Arthur) Thompson-Cornett, Marcia (Brad) Parker, Debbie (Terry) Griffin, and Danny (Laura) Melton; sister, Sue Carol Riley (Ralph), many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
