Clare Thomas “Tom” Mathes, age 76 of Erin, TN, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019 at his residence.
Tom entered this life on January 11, 1943 in Detroit, MI, son to the late Abbott Willson Mathes and Anna Louise Oliver. Tom was an amazing artist and was a loving brother and uncle to so many.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Ann Garbacz.
Survivors include his loving siblings, Jackie Sue Dillard, Betty Allsbrooks, James “Jim” Edward Mathes, Abbott Willson Mathes Jr, and Rickey Dean Mathes. Tom also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
There are no services planned as Tom’s wishes were to be cremated.
