Clarence Leonard “C.L.” Holt, age 72, of Clarksville passed away, September 4, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow in Dotsonville Baptist Church Cemtery. Visitation will be Wednesday 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
C.L. was born on October 6, 1944 in Montgomery County to Leonard and Eula Shepard Holt. He was a member of the Cattleman’s Association and served on the Board of Directors for Farm Bureau. He loved God, family, his farm, and cattle. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He tried to do a good deed daily. He was caring and hardworking. He bravely fought to overcome the illness that he battled for the last two years. He continued to fight to the end, never complaining. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Clarence Holt, Jr.; sister, Francis Holt Whitworth and brothers, David Lynn Holt and Jessie James Holt.
