Christopher Elliott Sampson, age 71 of Clarksville passed away Monday, December 6, 2021.
Graveside services and Military Honors will be held 1 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2021, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Chris entered this life on December 1, 1950, in Franklin, KY to the late Wendell and Marie Sampson. He was a Retired Veteran of The United States Army. During his honorable years of service, Chris completed several military educational courses and was awarded numerous medals and badges. He deployed to multiple theaters, including both Gulf Wars. Prior to his career in the Army, he spent five years in the Air Force. Chris was a graduate of Austin Peay State University, a muscle car enthusiast, and worked various jobs following his Military retirement.
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Gena Sampson; son, Sean Sampson, and his wife, Carrie; grandchildren, Hallie Sampson, Silas Butler, and Samuel Butler; brother, Tracy Sampson, and sister, Kathy Meador.
