Christine Pitts

Christine Atkins Pitts, 82, Clarksville, died went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, May 26, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Dr. Roger Freeman and Rev. Emmett Sexton officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born June 11, 1925 in Stewart Co., TN, daughter of Alfred Atkins and Bessie Lehman Atkins. Christine was a loving Mother, Grandmother and a member of Bible Baptist Church for over 46 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Horace Pitts. She is survived by a son Wayne (Susan) Pitts of Gilroy, CA, daughters Marie (Skip) Winters of Waverly and Lynne (Kurt) Wilson of Clarksville, brother Dorris Atkins of Clarksville, sister Evelyn Fain of Palmyra, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Paul Hughes, John Winters, Nick Lowery, Jimmy Fain, Keith Fain, and Terry Fain. Memorials may be made to The Gideons.
