Chief Warrant Officer Three Steven B. Redd, 37, Clarksville, passed away August 8, 2011 while conducting a training operation at Fort Benning, Georgia. CW3 Redd had over 19 years of service to the United States Army and was assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, The NightStalkers. He was a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He was the recipient of numerous awards and decorations. Visitation will be Monday, August 15, 2011 from 5 until 8 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, Clarksville, Tennessee. Funeral services and full military honors to take place in Layton, Utah and final resting place will be at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Bountiful, Utah.
CW3 Redd was born July 11, 1974 in Newport News, Virginia, son of L. Tracy and Dorothy F. Redd. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include his parents, wife Adalia Redd, children Jazlyn Redd, Dezaray Redd, Tristyn Redd, Paige Halls, Eden Halls, and Ledger Halls, brothers John Redd, Capt. Michael Redd, and James Redd, and sisters Susan Mahler, Cindy Smith, Debbie Watkins, Kathy Larsen, Amy Farris, and Sharon Redd.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Steven B. Redd Memorial Fund, 1884 E 2825 N, Layton, Utah 84040.
