Chesteen `Bill` Calvert, 78, Clarksville, died Friday, June 27, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home. A Masonic will be held 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born October 12, 1929 in Westmoreland, TN, son of Luther Calvert and Ersie Rippy Calvert. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, Marion Calvert. Mr. Calvert was a Christian who retired from the U.S. Air Force after 38 years of service and then retired from Civil Service at Ft. Campbell. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #89 and the Al Menah Shrine Temple. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Calvert, Clarksville; daughters, Glenda McGill, Antioch, Sheryle Elliott, Decateur, TN, Kimberly Meredith, Cadiz, KY; step-children, Mary Brinson, Clarksville, Donald Brinson, Springfield and Rose Hodges, Cunningham; brother, Joe Calvert, Tampa, FL; ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Military will serve as pallbearers.
