Charlie Ray Rye, age 78, Clarksville, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2013 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
The remains will be cremated. No service is planned.
Charlie was born September 12, 1934 in Montgomery Co., son of Alvin Richard Rye and Sara Frances Lyle Rye. He was a mechanic and had served his country in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents Charlie was preceded by brothers Leslie Rye, Robert Rye, and Richard Rye.
Survivors include his sons, Rodney Rye of Clarksville and Neil Rye of Clarksville, daughter by marriage, Sandra Clayman and husband Gerald of Clarksville, grandchildren, Benjamin Passe, Jerry Clayman, Neil Rye, Ryan Rye, and Tyler Rye, brothers, Herman Rye of FL, Benjamin Rye of Erin, John Rye of Clarksville, and James Rye of Clarksville, and his sister, Annie Pearl Elliott.
