Charlie Rone

Charlie Rone, age 70, of Port Royal, TN passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at his home.

Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bethel Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Friday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Charlie entered this life on March 22, 1954 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Robert Rone and Betty Kennedy Rone. He was a member of St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Charlie enjoyed horseback riding with East Montgomery Trail Riders. He was a talented fabricator for over 50 years. He started his career with North Tennessee Tool & Die, later known as PTL Fabricators.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Rone.

Survivors include his loving wife, Karen South Rone; children, Matthew (Amy) Rone, Meredith (Clint) Chapman, Jennifer Davis, Josh Sawyer, and Caleb Sawyer; brother, David (Janice) Rone; grandchildren, Lindsey Davis, Ethan Rone, and Eliza Rone.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Rone, David Rone, Clint Chapman, Ethan Rone, Chris Hodges, Chris Gorrell, and Johnny Martelli. Ricky Young will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christian Farms Rescue & Rehab, Hwy 13 N Erin, TN 37061.
