Charlie Pitts

Charles Junior Pitts, passed away on May 3, 2019 at Tennova Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2019 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors.
Charles was born in Rolla, MO on April 2, 1943 to Joe and Billie Sooter Pitts. He retired from the U. S. Army, was a Freemason and a member of the National Rifle Association. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jo Conger.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Morris Pitts; son, Charles J. (Christina) Pitts; daughter, Natalie (Jeremy Dye) Pitts-Kinchen; grandchildren, Brett (Dorian) Kinchen, Charles J. (Adriana) Pitts, Jr., Christopher G. (Shannon) Pitts, Ashley K. Pitts, Jesse W. (Beth) Dodgins, Elizabeth (Joey) Harlow-Hernandez, and Bentley Dye; brothers, Marvin and Steve Pitts and 6 great-grandchildren. Memorial Contributions may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald or St. Jude.
