Charlie Ray Meadows, Sr., 74, Southside, died Monday, May 24, 2010, at his home. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Bro. Mike Proctor officiating. Burial will be in Southisde Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born September 3, 1935 in Nashville, TN, son of the late Ell Thomas Meadows and Finnie Davis Meadows. Mr. Meadows was a carpenter and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife Judy Williams Meadows of Southside; son, Charlie (Karen) Meadows, Jr. of Bon Aqua, TN; daughters Gail (Tony) Conn of Gallatin, Finie (Adam Anderson) Mangrum of Nashville, and Rebecca Meadows of Old Hickory, TN; step-son Edward Bennett of Ashland City, TN; brothers William Meadows of Walker, LA, Edward Ferguson of Southside, Connie Mack Meadows of Southside, Harold Meadows of Lakeland, FL and Bruce Meadows of Charlotte, TN; sisters Christine Brogdon of Puryear, TN and Gertie Street of Ashland City; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
