Charles Edward Young, 89, Murray, KY, died Friday, March 13, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Churchill-Imes Heritage Funeral Home with Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will be in at a later date. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Churchill-Imes Funeral Home. Mr. Young was born December 14,1919, and was of the Lutheran faith, member of St Stephens U.C.C., an Army Veteran of WWII and retired from the Highway Dept. in Eerie County Ohio and also retired from Medusa Cement. Predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Betty Jane Young, parents William & Ada Beatty Young, Brothers Bud Young & Alford Young, sisters, Clara Bell Byers & Betty Young. Survivors include a son Charles (Pamela) Young of Murray,KY , daughters, Patricia Lewandowski of Clarksville, Nancy (Wayne) Deffinbaugh of Palmyra, TN, brother Billy (Charlotte) Young of Norwalk, OH, sisters Donna Roggeman and Mary Ann Nickester both of Sandusky, OH Churchill-Imes Funeral Home, Murray, Ky(270) 753-8888
