Charles O Hudson, a loving and dedicated truck driver, passed away on February 2, 2024. Born on October 29, 1958, in Dickson, TN, Charles led a remarkable life full of warmth and compassion. He will be remembered for his unwavering support for his family and friends and his deep passion for NASCAR Races.
Charles pursued higher education and achieved a bachelor’s degree in science. This academic accomplishment reflected his commitment to personal growth and intellectual development. However, it was in his career as a truck driver that Charles found fulfillment. His dedication to his profession was unparalleled, and he approached each day with enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.
Beyond his career, there were numerous pursuits that brought joy to Charles's life. He was an avid NASCAR fan and cherished the excitement of attending races. His love for music also extended to attending concerts, where he created memories that will forever be treasured. Additionally, Charles adored spending time with his nieces and nephews, as well as his great nieces and nephews. Their presence brightened his days and filled him with immense happiness.
Charles had a warm and loving personality that touched the lives of all who knew him. He had a remarkable ability to bring people together through his genuine kindness and caring nature.
One of Charles's proudest accomplishments was his active involvement as a volunteer with the Clarksville Jaycees. His exceptional dedication led him to achieve the rank of Colonel within the organization. Through this role, he made substantial contributions to the community, embodying the spirit of service that defined him.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife Cynthia Alice Shrader Hudson, who stood beside him through thick and thin. His sister Brenda D. Hudson held a special place in Charles's heart, sharing countless cherished memories. Sister-in-law Connie H. Hudson. Charles was a cherished uncle to Benjamin(Kourtney) Hudson, Elizabeth (Daniel) Burke, his great nephews Silas Hudson, Hudson Burke, Shepherd Hudson, and great nieces Saylor Hudson, Lucy Burke, Allie Burke.
In addition to his parents, Talmadge and Virginia Hudson, he is preceded in death by his brother Richard Hudson.
During this difficult time of grief and remembrance, friends and family are invited to attend visitation services at the McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home in Clarksville, TN. The visitation will take place on February 6th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on February 7th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on February 7th at 1:00 PM with Rev. Derek Simonis and Bro. Bing Verbist. Burial will be held after at Edgewood Cemetery, Dickson County, TN.
Charles O Hudson will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. His memory will forever remain in our hearts as we celebrate his life filled with love and remarkable achievements.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Burke, Benjamin Hudson, Mike Kennedy, Dave Gann, Cliff Fields, Garrett Fields and Gary Hudson. Honorary Pallbearers will be nieces, nephews, and Circle Hill Gang.
