Charles "Buzzy" Fryer

Charles “Buzzy” Fryer, age 78, of Clarksville, TN, passed away June 22, 2023.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday June 28th at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave &Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery

The family will receive friends from 9a.m. Wednesday June 28th, 2023 until the hour of service.

Buzzy entered this life on November 14th, 1944 in Evansville, IN, son to the late Woodring M. and Vonda L. Fryer. Buzzy attended Castle Heights Military Academy and fondly looked back at his time there as having shaped and molded him into the person he grew to be. He taught high school science and math for the Clarksville Montgomery County School System, teaching at Northwest High School, New Providence Middle School, and Clarksville High School. Not only was he an accomplished and well-respected math and science teacher, his true love and passion was sports. Buzzy coached many sports but he especially loved football and wrestling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Mickey Fryer.

Survivors include his children; Lane (Mary) Fryer, and Laura (Jason) Hatfield, Lynn Fryer, Lance (Robin Nichols) Fryer, , special in-laws; Mitchell & Linda Smithey and family, 13 beloved grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and a brother and 3 sisters.

Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
