Charles William Brooks, age 89 of Erin, TN, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Signature Healthcare of Erin.
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Sis Fay Winstead and Bro Tony Baggett officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
The Brooks family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday afternoon.
Charles entered this life on January 7, 1927 in Houston County, TN, son to the late Dudley and Allie Stockdale Brooks. Charles proudly served his country in United States Army and was a proud WWII veteran. He was a lifelong resident of Houston County, TN, where he was a faithful member of Pattersons Chapel Church.
In addition to his parents, Charles was precede in death by his late wife, Mary Alice Spicer Brooks; son, Wilbur Brooks; brothers, James Earl Brooks, and Clayton Brooks.
Survivors include daughters, Lisa Bradley (Steven), Debra Meadow (Eddie); sons, Eddie Brooks (Sheryl), Freddie Brooks (Cookie), Jerry Brooks; sister, Margaret Ross; fourteen grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Black, Joey Brake, Joey Bucciarelli, Larry Baylor, Richard Brooks, and Tony Brooks.
