Sr. Mr.Charles Jones Baxter Sr., 89, Cumberland City, died Friday, April 18,2008, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 11am Monday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Bro.Richard Garza and Bro.Ruben Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30pm till 7pm Sunday and from 8am till service Monday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born December 5,1918 in Maury County,Tn.son of the late John and Bessie Jones Baxter. He was a member of Cumberland City Church of Christ. He was survived by his wife Dorothy Baxter of Cumberland City,Tn.one son Charles Baxter Jr. of Hamshire,Tn.two daughters Judy B.Dean of Florida Jean Wallace of Cumberland City,Tn. one sister Jessie Ray of Benton,Ark. nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Singleton, Charlie Dean, Eddie Wright, Andy Wallace, Bob Russell, Willie Baxter, Jere Baxter, Lee Woods.
