Cary Largent

Cary Ralph Largent, age 84 of Erin, TN, passed away on Friday, February 06, 2015 at his residence.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Erin Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Moody and Bro. Truitt Cockrell officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends at the Nave Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Visitation will begin at the church one hour prior to the service.
Ralph entered this life on July 29, 1930, in Stewart County, TN, son of the late C.R. "Doc" and Genevieve Largent. Ralph was a faithful member of the Erin Baptist Church, and was the owner of Ralph Largent Sawmill for 45 years. Ralph was a former Erin City Council Member, former fire chief, served on the Erin City Planning Commission, and served as Lord High Mayor in 2003.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Jean Howell Largent; and sisters, Elizabeth Rye, and Oretta Seay.
Survivors include daughters, Barbara Brooks, Jackqlyn Smith, and Debra Boone (Richard); sons, Ralph Howell Largent, Cary Largent (Karen), and Rhyne Largent (Melissa), and sister, Nelma Simpson. Ralph is also survived by twenty two grandchildren, forty four great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons.
