Carmelo Marrero Roman, 80, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
A celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Pastor John Dicks officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Roman was born in Dorado, Puerto Rico and was the son of the late Felix and Patricia Marrero Roman.
He was a retired U.S. Army Veteran; served in Vietnam and recipient of the Bronze Star; and a member of Mt. Hebrew Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shelia Cross Roman; sons, Tony Cross, Rajan Trice; daughters, Patricia Ingram, Kawana Adkins; brothers, Eladio Roman, Felito Roman, Nicolas Roman; sisters, Elisa Roman, Orga Iris Roman, Margaret Roman; and a host of grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
