Carl Wayne James, age 68, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Revs. Charles Worrell and Richard Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
The James family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 12 noon until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
Carl entered into this life on September 29, 1948 in Montgomery County to the late Dewey and Ada Lee Carpenter James. He was retired from his trade in construction and had served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was also a member of Pythagoras Odd Fellows Lodge #23 and a Past Grand Master of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his siblings, Nancy Walker and Orville James.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Patsy James; children, Tammy Barton (Todd), Becki Minor, Amy Taylor (Chad), and Catherine James; ten granddaughters, two great granddaughters; and his brother, Robert James.
Pallbearers will be Todd Barton, Chad Taylor, Allen Walker, Butch Crawford, Matt James, and Tommy Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Odd Fellows in Tennessee.
