Sonja “Candy” Brown, 76 of Southside, TN passed away on November 12, 2022.
Celebration of Life will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson with Rev. Mike Proctor. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2022 and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service at the Funeral Home.
Candy was born on August 20, 1946 in Rockingham, NC. She served as Col. Aide de Camp for Governor Ned McWherter and Governor Bill Lee. Candy enjoyed antique shopping, estate sales, and auctions. She was a lover of sport cars, and she loved driving her corvette.
Survivors include her loving husband of 40 years, Michael Brown; son, James Magness; daughters, Cindy (Andy) Barrett and Kathrine Ramsey; brothers, Steve Minter, Jimmy Hicks, and Roger Hicks; and 10 grandchildren and twelve great grandchilden.
Pallbearers will be Eric Huneycutt, Paul Blackwell, Jr., Billy Sigears, Buford Hollis, Lewis Blackwell, and Michael Blackwell.
