Minister Brodie Levell Slade, age 52, of Clarksville went to be with his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
Celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at City of David Christian Center, 1790 Woodlawn Road, Clarksville, TN 37042 with Bishop William Martin officiating. Burial and Military Honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Brodie entered this life on June 12, 1969, in Rockingham County, North Carolina. He was a retired Military Police Officer for the US Army. He had a master’s degree in Emergency Management. He worked in Police services at the V.A. hospital in Nashville. Brodie was a member and minister of the City of David Christian Center. He was a man of God who took pleasure in serving the Lord. He stayed strong in his faith throughout his life. Brodie was a loving husband, father, brother, friend and most affectionally known as Dippy D and Daddy B. by his grandchildren. He enjoyed football and wood crafting. He loved being surrounded by family and loved ones . He was a comedian at heart, with a contagious laugh.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Peele; sister, Janice Slade.
Survivors include his loving wife of thirty years, Tomecia Slade; children, Bryson (Janay) Slade, Amber Slade, Brodrick Slade; mother, Marcell Slade; grandchildren, Jaelon, Amaure, Aubree, Anaya; sister, Tiki (Bryan) Floyd; sister-in-law, Stephanie (Douglas) Anderson; three nephews; Anthony, Victor, Tyler, two nieces; Kianna, Tyrika and his bonus children Amos and Antoine.
This is not a goodbye but “see you later” .
