Brittie Tidwell

Brittie Ann Cunniff Tidwell, 58 of Woodlawn, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at her residence.
A celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Crockarell Farm at 2151 Crockarell Road, Clarksville, TN with Rev. Dorothy Hartzog and Rev. Ann Fraley officiating.
Brittie was born September 27, 1957 in Nashville, TN, the daughter of the late Britt and Ann Cunniff. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Tidwell and her son by marriage, Dr. Christopher Tidwell.
Brittie earned her Master Degree in German from Western Kentucky University and worked for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System as a devoted German teacher for 28 years. Her teaching career included Northwest High School, Northeast High School, and Westcreek High School. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, CMCRTA (Clarksville-Montgomery County Retired Teachers Association), TEA, and the NEA. Brittie had a love for reading, nature, and traveling.
Survivors include her daughter by marriage, Alycia (Larry) Tidwell McKinney; 3 step-grandchildren, Abby, Luke, and Hope; special friend and caregiver, Beverly Berard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clarksville Humane Society at 940 Tennessee Avenue, Clarksville, TN 37040.
