Brenda Mullins

Brenda Gail Mullins, 65, Southside, died Friday, February 1, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Rye's Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Glyndia Dodson Bass officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Sunday at Rye's Chapel United Methodist Church. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 5, 1942 in Harlan, KY, daughter of Chester Arthur Poff and Matha Dalton Poff. She was the widow of Van Mullins. Mrs. Mullins was a member of Rye's Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker who considered working in the tobacco fields fun; she also enjoyed reading and working puzzles. Survivors include her daughter, Vanessa Rhea Rodgers, Mobile, AL; brother, Glenn Poff, Southside; sister, Linda Gail Bargo, Harlan, KY; grandson, Michael Joseph Hughes IV, South Daytona Beach, FL.
