Brandon Earl Young, 85, Clarksville, died Saturday, February 21, 2009, at Grace Health Care. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with the Revs. Terrell Marcum and Larry Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Sango Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 13, 1923 in Trigg County, Kentucky, son of William A. Young and Floy Catherine Hall Young. Mr. Young was retired from the Civil Service at Fort Campbell, a veteran of World War II in which he served with the U.S. Marine Corps, recipient of two purple hearts, and was a member of Excell Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Minerva Young of Clarksville; son Kenneth Earl (Tammy) Young of Clarksville; daughters Carolyn Wortman of Eastland, Texas, Kathryn (Kenneth) Webb of Clarksville, Teresa Young (Kevin) Reff of Springfield; grandchildren Jimmy, Michael and Douglas Wortman, Tony and Justin Webb, Melissa Horan, Tracey Williams, Tyler Young, and Isaac and Aaron Reff, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wortman, Michael Wortman, Douglas Wortman, Tony Webb, Justin Webb, and Tyler Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Horan, Jeff Williams, Isaac Reff, and Aaron Reff.
