Bobby Dwayne Rye, age 54 of Adams, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, July 29, 2014.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Ronnie Burgess officiating. Burial will follow at Lockhart Cemetery in Erin, TN.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home.
Bobby was born on November 3, 1959, the son of the late Floyd Robert “Dad” Rye and Vergie Hester Rye. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church and a former elder of Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Bobby worked as a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Janet Mathis Rye; brothers, Bruce Rye of Dover, Ronnie Dale (Pat) Rye of Guthrie, KY, and Todd (Shellie) Rye of Ottowa, OH; sister, Sue Rye (Richard) Morrison of Clarksville.
Pallbearers will be J.D. Rye, Robby Rye, Chadd Morrison, Mike Wilson, Willie Wright, Brad Harvey, and Eddy Bledsoe.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Goodwin, John Goodwin, Dwayne Osborne, and Andy Mackens.
