Bobby Haskins

Robert Louis Haskins, age 78, went to his eternal home in Heaven on Sunday, September 19, 2021.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Jeter officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30 Thursday. The family will again receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.

Bobby entered this life on June 4, 1943, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Leonard and Rosa Lee Perry Haskins. He was a 1961 graduate of Clarksville High School and a member of the church family at Pleasant View Baptist Church. Bobby had worked at Acme Boot for over twenty years and went on to work and retire from the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.

Bobby was an avid gardener and enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation in birdwatching, hunting, and fishing. In their spare time, Bobby and Judy enjoyed time with one another, even competing in team skeet shooting together. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #89, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, past Noble Grand with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Pythagoras Lodge #23, and a member of the Al Menah Shrine Temple. He was truly a one-of-a-kind individual and will be dearly missed by his family, whom he truly loved, and everyone else that knew him.

Survivors include his wife and childhood sweetheart, Judy Phipps Haskins; daughter, Anita Coleman; grandchildren, Amy (Steven) Lynn, and Kayla Coleman; great-grandson, Tucker Lynn; and one brother, Donny Haskins.

Pallbearers will be Steven Lynn, Frank Coleman, Carl Edwards, Carl Edwards, Jr., Bobby Coleman, Sr., Billy Haynes, Charles Fisher, Randolph Bowden, and Scott Little. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Pythagoras Lodge #23.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church.
