Bobby J. Goodwin, age 83 of Clarksville, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Kirby and Bro. Roy Goodmiller officiating. Burial will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, Nashville, TN.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Bobby was born on December 9, 1931, the son of the late Harris Lee Goodwin Sr. and Gertrude Boone Goodwin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Harris Goodwin Jr. and his sister, Charlene Zoet.
He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran in the 73rd Tank Battalion. He was a member of Shiloh Church of Christ for 40 years where he served as a deacon. Bobby was a Sunday school teacher at Shiloh Church of Christ and Fairview Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lonia Goodwin; sons, Tony Goodwin and his wife Rita and Rick Goodwin; daughter, Teresa Walt and her husband Bill; granddaughters, Megan Mangone and her husband Alex and Paisley Goodwin; grandson, Jazz Goodwin; sisters, Billie Spencer, Patsy Mangrum, Brenda Hardin; and Jenelle Pinkerton; very special nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
