Bobbie Jean Bryant Smith, age 85, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Dogwood Bend Assisted Living in Clarksville, TN.
Bobbie, the widow of Herbert Smith, was born on July 9, 1930 in Ohatchee, AL to Madison and Rosa Bryant. She was a graduate of Trussville High School. Bobbie met and married William Herbert Smith in 1948 and they were blessed with 4 children. They were originally from Trussville and Bobbie worked at Western Supermarket for several years until her and her husband moved to Cropwell, AL. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Trussville, AL but later moved her letter to Mt. Pisgah in Cropwell, AL. They spent their retirement years fishing for crappie on Logan Martin Lake where they enjoyed spending time with their loving and caring neighbors.
After the passing of her husband, Bobbie moved to Clarksville, TN to Dogwood Bend Assisted Living. She had a fun-filled life with the residents and loving staff.
She is survived by her four children, Joy (Rob) Salter, Bill (Beverly) Smith, Bryant (Colette) Smith, and Gayla (Joe) Watson; eleven grandchildren; a multitude of great-grandchildren and many special friends in Cropwell.
Graveside service, 1 p.m. Friday, May 13th at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville.
Memorial service, 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 17th at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 3 p.m.
