Bobbie Jane Dawson, 84, died on Sunday morning, December 16, 2018 at home in Cumberland Furnace Tn. She was born in Shiloh to Irving and Nora (Sykes) Smith. Bobbie was a twin (Billy Jean) who died shortly after birth. She had 5 brothers and 6 sisters all deceased.
Bobbie attended Montgomery County Schools graduating in 1953. She then married her high school sweetheart Roy G. (Doodie) Dawson JR (2011) in 1955.
They had two children, Terry G. Dawson (Laura) and Mary Ann Dawson. Six grandchildren, Jimmy, Matt, Ricky, Heidi, Terese, and Danny, with thirteen great grandchildren.
Shortly after Terry was born Roy Dawson Senior passed away and the family moved to Plainfield, Illinois where they lived for 35 years before retiring and moving back to Shiloh area.
Bobbie had a heart of gold, unconditional love and always put others before herself. There is no question about her going straight to heaven. She devoted her entire life to her family. Her door was always open for her friends to play cards and laugh in the kitchen. Bobbie also enjoyed sitting on the front porch and working in the yard. She missed her husband very much after his death.
A special thanks to Bobby and Peggy Black for their support over the last few years. A huge thank you to Mary Ann who cared and supported Bobbie since Roy died.
There will not be any visitation and a graveside service will be announced at a later date.
