Billy Yount

Billy Gene Yount, age 64, of Woodlawn passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 12 Noon at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dotsonville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Billy entered into this life on July 12, 1956 to the late Johnny Ray and Kathleen Whitworth Yount in Dover, TN. Billy enjoyed working on cars.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Stroud Yount.

Survivors include his sons, David (Brandy) Jones and John Simmons; daughters, Amy (David) Colvin, LaShane (T.J.) Fulton, Cindy (Jermaine) Gutierrez, Jennifer (Derek) Abelson; brothers, Donald Yount, Gary Yount, Robert Mathis, Darrel Moore; sister, Kathy Harris. He was also the proud grandfather of Madison (DeVinn), Maeson, Aaron, Shelby, Taylor, Michael, Dakota, Roseanna, Ada, Cora, Connor, Brantley, John, Colton, and Dusty.

Pallbearers will be Cory Rees, John Simmons, David Jones, Derek Abelson, Brian Yount, David Colvin, Aaron Fulton, and Justin (Squirrel Nuts) Kannapel.
