Billy Winfree

Billy Jackson Winfree, 68, Clarksville, died Sunday, October 28, 2007, at residence. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Excell Baptist Church with Rev. Terrell Marcom officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the church. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 27, 1939 in Montgomery Co., TN son of Robert Winfree and Hilda Byrd Winfree. He was employed by Powers Construction and a member of Excell Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Bobby Ray Winfree and Martin Winfree. He is survived by his wife of Clarksville, Laverne Suiter Winfree; son Tim (Pam) Winfree of Clarksville; daughter Penny (John) Yarbrough of Clarksville; brothers Bud Winfree of Clarksville and Joe Winfree of Palmyra; grandchildren Brandi (Co Co) Yarbrough, John Michael Yarbrough, Kelsey Winfree and Haley Winfree, step-grandchild Daniel Freeman, and great-grandchild Bayle Yarbrough. Pallbearers will be Ben Robertson, Rodney Mott, Jeremy Means, John Cantlon, David Dowdy, and Clarence Neblett. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Wilson, Sr., Charles Powers, Jackie Byrd, and Keith Brake. Memorials may be made to the Excell Baptist Church Building Fund, 328 Excell Rd., Clarksville, TN 37043.
