Billy Swift

Billy Joe Swift, 61, Clarksville, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Bro. Mike Dorsey & Rev. Thad Collier officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born January 9, 1947 in Montgomery County, son of John Swift and Rena Yarbrough Swift. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Vernon Swift, James Swift; and sisters, Allen Lyle and Frances Conaster. Mr. Swift served in the United States Air Force as a crew chief of a T38 from 1966 - 1970. He held a BS in Business Administration and a minor in Management from Troy State University and worked for James Corlew Chevrolet as the Assistant Bodyshop Manager from June 1993 to February of 2008 where he was a very loyal and dedicated employee for 15 years. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Swift, Clarksville; children, Shane Swift, Mallory Swift, Crystal Davis, Chad Huffman and Gena Poston; siblings, Dorothy Whitehead, John Swift Jr.; grandchildren, Katlin Griggs, Skyler Griggs, Glenn Michael Davis and Presley Huffman. Pallbearers will be Shane Swift, William Whitehead, Chris Conrad, Ricky Layfield, Randy Swift, Bryce Swift, Chad Huffman and Scott Sykes.
