Billy Kye Stuart, 43, was taken to heaven on wings of angels Oct. 11, 2008, from Baptist Hospital. His suffering and unrest is over. He is at peace in the arms of God. Billy dedicated his life to our Savior at Magnolia Baptist Church, Holden, La. He renewed his faith to God while in the hospital. Billy's loving spirit will live on in our hearts and he will be so very terribly missed. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at McReynoldsâÂÂNave & Larson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Terrell Marcom officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Billy Kye has chosen to return his body to ashes and dust through cremation, his soul already with God.
Billy was born June 18, 1963, in Germany. He was a hard-working man who loved the big rivers. He worked with WKN, Ingram and Aartco Barge Lines. Speaking for Billy, he bids all his river boat buddies, especially his Captain Kerry Wells, farewell. He leaves behind his parents, Shirley Bankston Monk and Albert Monk; his wife Denise; his two daughters, Rebecca and Gini O'Quinn; his brothers, Hermon Mike (Janet) Stuart, and Michael and Richard (Laura) Monk; a sister, Barbara (Rick) Monk Drummond; uncles, Terry (Donna) Bankston, Satsuma, La., J.D. (Gwen) Thomas, Holden, La., and Junior (Sylvia Jean) McDonald; aunt, Amy Bankston, Holden, La.; nephews, Zack (Melissa) and Caleb Stuart, and Kalvin Shaner; nieces, Rainy Stuart Magrams, Taleea Stuart Schnell and Kamyll Shaner; and great-nephews, Gabriel Magrams, Talon and Danyon Schnell. Billy was preceded in death by his uncle, Marshall Cleve Bankston. Honorary pallbearers are Zack and Caleb Stuart, Chuck Shelton and Jim Duckworth.
