Billy Self

Billy Self, 74, of Cumberland Furnace, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 at his residence. A celebration of his life will be held 2pm, Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at McReynolds Nave and Larson Funeral Home. The ceremony will be officiated by Rev. Gene Belt, Rev. James Green, Phillip Hasley, Micky Self, and Ernest Green. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4pm to 8pm Tuesday and 10am until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Billy was born March 23, 1937 in Dickson, TN. He was preceded in death by his mother Lucy Ann Self.
He was a Christian, a member of Pleasant View Non-Denominational Church, a member of and Past Master of Masonic Lodge #445, and a retired maintenance supervisor for Jostens and Farmer.
Survivors include wife, Frances Baggett Self, of Cumberland Furnace; son, David Michael Self (Cindy), of Cumberland Furnace; daughter, Lori Ann Green (Ernest), of Cumberland Furnace; grandchildren, Jesse Mathew Ferrell (Eranne), Amber Ferrell, and Olivia Self; great-grandchildren, Emma-Leigh Ferrell and Bilee Mathew Ferrell; beloved nephew, Ronnie Self; and grand-dogs, Jake and Sophie.
Pallbearers Hawk Wingate, Derrick Lee, Steven Whittington, Tim Russell, Jerry Luffman, and Ronnie Adkins. Honorary Pallbearers Eugene Black, Clyde Morris, Vernon Jones, James Green, Les Allen, and Mickey Self.
