Billy Clark "Pat" Turner, Jr., 64, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at his home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Clarksville, Faith Building, with the Revs. Roger Freeman and Bill Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be rendered. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at First Baptist Church.
Pat entered this life March 17, 1948 in Paducah, KY, the son of Billy and Jean Finch Turner. Following his retirement from the U.S. Army where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant, Pat had a career in hospital administration. Pat was a Vietnam veteran with numerous medals and commendations affirming his gallant service to his country. He was a member of the DAV, PVA, and belonged to the APSU Governor's Club, as he was an avid fan of APSU Athletics. For a number of years, Pat coached soccer with the Montgomery County Soccer Association.
Pat was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Courtney Turner, his parents, and his siblings, Andrew Turner and Tracy Lyons.
He is survived by his loving family which includes his wife, Bonnie Turner of Clarksville; daughter Brandy Slaughter and husband Caleb, son Christopher Turner and fiance Natasha, daughter Shawn Suiter and husband Jason, son Jason Huffine and wife Julie. He was the proud grandfather of Sydney Santistevan and husband Zac, Tristan Smith, Gavin, Kelsey, and Jack Huffine, Caden and Keegan Slaughter, and his grandson in waiting, Lincoln Turner. He is also survived by his brothers, Lee and Lynn Turner and his sister, Susan Czerwien.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Turner, Ricky Cooksey, Donnie Brown, Dave Donahue, Doug Carter, and Kenneth Wallace.
