Billy Menees

Billy Menees, age 81 of Olive Branch, MS passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021.

Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Pat VanDyke officiating. Burial and US Navy Honors will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Billy entered this life on December 13, 1939 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Henry H. Menees and Bessie Benton Menees. Growing up, he was a member of Kirkwood Baptist. Billy was a member of the 1958 Clarksville High School graduating class and later went on to serve and eventually retire from both The United States Navy and Shell Oil Company. Billy was married for 58 years to the love of his life, Marguerite Walsh Menees, formerly of St. Johns, Newfoundland.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Menees Santos.

Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Walsh Menees; sons, Richard Menees, and Dean Menees; daughter, Debra (Steve) Mathis; grandchildren, Jeanie Marie Hettler, Jennifer Lynn Muscato, Christy Marie Menees, Tanya Marie Menees, and John Menees; sister, Pat (Jerry) Menees Wall; brothers, Henry (Maxine) Menees, Charlie (Nellie) Menees, and John (Hope) Menees.
