Billy Johnson

Billy Leslie Johnson, age 85, of Woodlawn, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 8th, 2024, at his home while surrounded by his family.

Celebration of Life will be 12 noon Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Jeff and Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Wilee’s Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Billy entered this life on August 9, 1939, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Leslie and Louise Johnson. He was a lifelong resident of Woodlawn, TN where he was a devoted 3rd generation farmer. He found great joy in riding his side-by-side around the farm and checking cows. Billy was retired after 42 dedicated years of employment at Trane. He also served in the United States Army Reserves. In his spare time, aside from farming, he enjoyed quail hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings; Dorothy Fleming, Iris Clinard and Martha Smith.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Faye McWhorter Johnson; daughter, Jennifer Huenink, and her husband, John Huenink and granddaughter, Henley Huenink.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
