Billy Joe Newman, age 67, Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Signature Health Care of Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. William Luffman officiating. Burial with military honors rendered will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Billy entered this life on October 22, 1945 in Houston County, son of the late Jack and JoAnna Shelton Newman. He was a retired maintenance employee with the Trane Company where he provided nearly 40 years of faithful service. Mr. Newman served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the church family at Faith Outreach Church.
He is survived by his loving family which includes his wife, Sue Nelson Newman of Clarksville; son, Joseph Newman of Clarksville; grandsons, Jared and Justin Newman; brother, John Newman of Woodlawn; and sisters, Elizabeth Harris and Mattie Ann Sykes, both of Slayden, TN.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Outreach Children's Ministry, 731 Windermere Dr., Clarksville, TN 37043.
