Billy Hunt

Rev. Billy B. Hunt, 78, Palmyra, died Sunday, January 30, 2011, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Revs. Donnie Hutcheson and Reece Cochran officiating. Burial will be in First Caanan Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. He was born December 15, 1932 in Montgomery County and was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Nora Seiber Hunt; beloved wife, Dorothy Rye Hunt; two sisters, Mary Hunt, Polly Clark; and brother, Asa Hunt. Rev. Hunt was a Retired Baptist Minister and carpenter and a member of First Canaan Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Patricia (John) Economidis, Mt. Dora, FL, Wanda (Warren) Turner, Columbia, MO, Sheila (Arthur) Hunt, Martin, TN; sister, Lillian Hunt, Clarksville; brother-in-law, Paul Clark, Cunningham; six grandchildren, Jonathan Economidis, Eustis, FL; Leslie (Brad) Gebhardt, Greer, SC, Rachel (Micah) Hans and Heather McCarson, Columbia, MO; Erica (Nathan) Holloway, Greenville, SC, Justin Hunt, Martin, TN; two great-grandsons, Dallas Hans and Carson Gebhardt. Pallbearers will be Donnie Hunt, Ricky Rye, Jeremy Rye, Gary Heflin, Justin Hunt and Micah Hans.
