Billy Cleghern

Mr. Cleghern was born October 24, 1931 in Houston County, Tennessee, son of the late Ray Cleghern and Stella Brown Cleghern. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Erin United Methodist Church with Bro. Ken Wallace officiating.Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Nave Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Cleghern was a retired grocery store owner/operator for over 60 years, former Erin volunteer firefighter, former Boy Scout leader, Past President of the Erin Rotary Club, Past President of the Erin Civitan Club, Past member of the Austin Peay Alumni Assoc., member of the Masonic Lodge and Shrine Club, past Chairman of the Houston County School Board, past member of the Erin Housing Authority Board, a member of the Erin United Methodist Church, past Chairman of the Church Council, 1975 Lord High Mayor, 2011 Emerald Award Winner, and a Demolay Advisor. Survivors include his wife Betty Cleghern of Erin, sons Bryon Cleghern and Tim Cleghern, both of Tennessee Ridge, and four grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Richard Jarrett, Mitchell Smithey, Kent Bell, Howard Spurgeon, Kenny Bishop, Frank Young, Randall French, and Tommy Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Erin Rotary Club and Free Form Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Erin United Methodist Church, P.O.
