Billy Bumpus

Billy F. Bumpus, 73, Clarksville, died Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Rob Courtney officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born May 10, 1934 in Montgomery County, son of Melvin Bumpus and Geneva Phillips Bumpus. Mr. Bumpus was retired from Civil Service, a U.S. Navy Veteran and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Trainer Bumpus, Clarksville; daughters, Deborah (Phil) Yohe, Cindy (Danny) Marino, Lisa (Eddy) Taylor, all of Clarksville; special daughter, Kim Marshall, Clarksville; brothers, Glen Bumpus, Hampton,VA, Richard Bumpus, Clarksville, and Jimmy Bumpus, Dover; sister, Judy Myers, Portland, OR; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Phil Yohe, Eddy Taylor, Daniel Yohe, Peter Johnson, Evan Taylor, Brent Yohe and Dustin Marino.
