Billy Zane Booth, Jr., 62, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 following a brief illness.
He was born in Clarksville, Tennessee on July 14, 1952. He graduated from Northwest High School and worked at Bi-County Solid Waste Management.
He was preceded in death by many loved ones including his parents, Billy and Mildred Booth, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his sister, Sharon Silva, and her husband, David Steele, of Clarksville; a niece and her family, Amanda Rennie, Mark Rennie, Sr. and Mark, Jr. He is survived by three aunts whom he loved very much, Mildred Johnson, Eleanor Booth and Ora Mae Smalley (Rocky Smalley). He is also survived by many cousins and friends including David’s family in Paris, Tennessee.
He loved Clarksville, Tennessee, the Green Bay Packers, wrestling, country music, reading, his church family at First Baptist Church, his family and friends and most importantly his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He left this world secure in his faith.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church Good Samaritan Fund, 435 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, February 6 at McReynolds-Nave-Larson in Clarksville, TN with visitation scheduled from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Pete Reed, Elinor Andrews, David Averitt, his many friends from First Baptist Church, AseraCare Hospice, Tammy Coffman, Dr. Jennifer Ellis, Dr. Avni Vora and her staff, Dr. Olaide Ajayi and Tennessee Oncology, Dr. Joseph Kosinski and Premier Medical, the Gateway Hospital 5th floor nurses and staff, Spring Meadows Health Care Center nurses and staff and others too numerous to mention who helped Zane. He was blessed beyond measure to have so many people appreciate, love, and care for him.
