Billy Batey

Billy Ray Batey, 63, Clarksville, died Thursday, July 9, 2009, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Chapel with Rev. George Adair officiating. Burial will be in Nanney-Hollis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 12 noon until Service Time Saturday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born November 25, 1945 in Clarksville. He was preceded in death by his father, Barney Bell Batey, infant daughter, sister, June Batey Nicholson and granddaughter, Haley Rae-Lynn Anderson. Along with his mother, Gladys Hollis Batey, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 26 years, Linda Morrison Batey, Clarksville; sons, Nathan (Kris) Batey, Darryl Batey, both of Clarksville; daughters, Tracy (Bryan) Nicholson Tucker, Kasey (Erik) Nicholson Anderson; brother, Joe (Paula) Batey, Clarksville; sister, Joyce (James) Batey Jennings, Greenville, SC; and seven grandchildren. Billy was an extra special step-dad. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Erik Anderson, Bryan Tucker, Richard Tucker and Tommy Head.
